WESTON, WI (WSAU) — Village leaders in Weston want your thoughts on backyard chickens.
Planners have launched a six-question survey on the Village website on the topic. Questions include “are you interested in having backyard chickens on your property?” and “are you comfortable with your neighbors having backyard chickens on their property?”
The survey is open to all residents in both the Town and Village of Weston and can be found here.
Several communities have voted to allow urban chicken flocks with limitations on size, fencing restrictions, and upkeep standards.

Supporters tout chickens as a way of providing food and eggs for their family while also keeping pests down. Chickens can also eat some table scraps, keeping food waste down.
