GREEN BAY, WI (WSAU) – The Green Bay Packers have announced that this year’s Kickoff Weekend event will feature two headline music acts.
On Saturday, September 23, Stone Temple Pilots and Collective Soul will perform in the parking lot on the stadium’s northwest side, in front of Lambeau Field.
Concertgoers can park for free and on a first-come, first-served basis in the parking areas on the west side of Lambeau Field. For seating throughout the performance, guests are encouraged to bring blankets and chairs. In addition, food and drinks will be sold at Titletown and in the parking lot at Lambeau Field.
Stone Temple Pilots burst onto the scene in 1992 with their explosive debut, Core, and have since sold over 70 million albums. A breakthrough hit, the album reached the third spot on the Billboard 200 list and ruled radio airwaves with singles including “Vasoline,” “Interstate Love Song,” “Wicked Garden,” and the Grammy Award-winning blockbuster “Plush.”
American rock group Collective Soul became popular in the 1990s. Their initial single, “Shine,” which eventually reached its height as a nationwide success, catapulted them to unprecedented popularity. Their album Collective Soul later achieved triple platinum status. Their number-one singles “December,” “The World I Know,” and “Where the River Flows” all enjoyed considerable success.
