MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) –The Milwaukee Brewers settled for a series split with the Pirates following a 4-1 defeat in the finale from Milwaukee.
Brandon Woodruff got saddled with the loss after surrendering two runs on solo homers, giving up four hits while striking out nine batters over five innings.
William Contreras scored the lone run for the Brew Crew on an error in the ninth inning.
Milwaukee dropped to 60-and-53, but is still first in the NL Central. The Brewers open a three-game series against the Rockies at American Family Field tonight. Pre game show at 6:35 on WSAU.
