GREEN BAY, WI (WSAU) – Following an eventful joint practice with the Cincinnati Bengals on Wednesday, a few Bengals defenders offered Jordan Love some praise for his play on the field.
Bengals corner Mike Hilton, who had an interception against Love, stated, “Real strong arm. Obviously, that’s what he’s been known for, but you can tell…he’s seeing things a little slower and his process is a little faster, so I feel like Green Bay got a good one.”
Bengals star defensive lineman DJ Reader spoke to Packersnews.com about Love, saying, “He seemed more confident under center. He seemed like he was feeling good. The offense was doing what it was doing, and he was having a good day.”
Germaine Pratt, who got into a fight with Elgton Jenkins during practice and is one of the Bengals top linebackers, praised Love by saying, “The pass to the tight end hit him right in the chest. That was a good pass. I think he will be a great player, to be honest. I think he learned a lot from A-Rod. Now he gets the keys to run the system.”
Love and other first-team offensive stars will likely see some action against Cincinnati tomorrow, according to coach Matt LaFleur, who indicated there was a “pretty good chance” that he plays at least a few snaps.
