CHICAGO, IL (WSAU) — A tenth-inning RBI base hit from Mark Canha held up as the Milwaukee Brewers stole a 7-6 win on Friday over the White Sox.
Carlos Santana, William Contreras, and Victor Caratini each had two hits in the win. Contreras and Willy Adames each had two RBI as well.
Canha was called on to pinch-hit for Joey Wiemer in the 10th, he brought home the Brewers’ placed runner, Brice Turang.
Corbin Burnes went 5.2 innings and allowed eight hits and five runs (all earned). Devin Williams would earn the win in the 9th inning by striking out the side. Abner Uribe would earn the save in the 10th by tossing a perfect frame, not allowing the White Sox’s placed runner to score.
Milwaukee improves to 63-54 on the season. The same two teams will play tonight at 6:15, and coverage on WSAU will start at 5:40.
