MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) – Luke Combs, the current CMA Awards Entertainer of the Year, is preparing for a double-header tour that will begin in April of next year.
The 25-show tour will stop in 13 cities, with nearly every city receiving two nights of performances on Fridays and Saturdays, according to Billboard.
The tour gets underway at Milwaukee’s American Family Field on April 12-13. Before concluding with two performances in Houston at NRG Stadium on August 9-10, Combs will also perform two nights in New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium, Los Angeles’ SoFi Stadium, Jacksonville’s Everbank Stadium, and Phoenix’s State Farm Stadium.
Combs will perform as the featured act on Friday night’s lineup of performances, which also includes appearances by Charles Wesley Godwin, Hailey Whitters, The Wilder Blue, Cody Jinks, and The Avett Brothers. Jordan Davis, Colby Acuff, Drew Parker, and Mitchell Tenpenny will perform as the opening acts on Saturday night.
“With country music being such a wide genre and being a huge fan of it all myself, I wanted to open up my stage to acts that lean into Outlaw, Americana, and Red Dirt on Friday nights, as well as having a night with people I have toured with in the past, who are more contemporary country,” Combs said in a statement. “I’m super excited to have both groups be out on the road with me for the Growin’ Up and Gettin’ Old Tour!”
Since winning CMA New Artist of the Year in 2017, Combs has quickly become one of the world’s biggest stars, dominating music charts worldwide. His most recent song, a cover of Tracy Chapman’s “Fast Car,” has been streamed over 190 million times on Spotify and spent the last twenty weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 charts.
