WESTON, WI (WSAU) — Th D.C. Everest High School Band Boosters have announced that they will host the US Marine Band for a concert and clinic on October 17th.
The concert will be held at the High School gymnasium in Weston. Tickets will be available starting September 17th and will be free, but must be reserved in advance by clicking here.
The show begins at 7:30 that night, but attendees must be seated by 7:15. Those without advance tickets will then be seated if possible.
“We are incredibly excited to continue the tradition of our national concert tour,” Marine Band Director Col. Jason K. Fettig said. “Musicians of the band are more eager than ever to share their musical talents with audiences live, and in-person on this Midwest tour.”
The band will hold a series of clinics for student musicians at D.C. Everest the next day. DCE Senior High Band Instructor Joe Finnegan notes, “I am so excited for the D.C. Everest band students to experience a clinic with such high-level musicians. To glean off their talented journey and hear their stories of their performance highlights will truly be rewarding.”
The stop in Weston is part of The Marine Band’s fall tour of the Midwest, which will take them to 29 different locations in 11 states from the Dakotas to Pennsylvania.
