ARLINGTON, TX (WSAU) — Milwaukee jumped out to a 9-4 lead on the red-hot Texas Rangers and held on for a 9-8 win on Friday.
William Contreras, Willy Adames, and Brice Turang each had three hits. Contreras added three RBI, Carlos Santana was just 1-4 but the one hit was a three-run home run in the 7th.
Christian Yelich had two hits and scored three runs.
Andrew Chafin allowed three runs and recorded just one out in the 9th before Milwaukee brought in Devin Williams, who surrendered an additional run before closing out the game for his 29th save of the year.
Brandon Woodruff allowed three hits and four earned runs in 5.1 innings.
