GREEN BAY, WI (WSAU) – The Packers and Patriots agreed to suspend their pre-season game in the 4th quarter after a scary on-field injury.
Patriots defensive back Isaiah Bolden collided with one of his own teammates with 10:38 remaining in the contest. He was hit in the back of the head by Calvin Munson and was placed on a stretcher after a long delay. “”Upon mutual agreement of the teams, tonight’s game between the New England Patriots and the Green Bay Packers has been suspended,” both teams announced. The game was recorded as a 21-17 win for the Patriots.
ESPN reports that Bolden is under observation at a Green Bay-area hospital, and does have feeling in his extremities.
Jorden Love played in the 1st half for the Packers, completing 5-of-8 passes for 84-yards and one touchdown. Rookie placekicker Anders Carlson, who struggled a week ago, made both of his PAT kicks and a 52-yeard field goal before halftime.
The Packers play their final pre-season game next Saturday against Seattle.
