CHICAGO, Ill (WSAU) — The Milwaukee Brewers extended their long winning streak following a 6-2 victory over the Cubs in the series opener from Wrigley.
Christian Yelich and Mark Canha each blasted home runs as part of a four-run first inning. Willy Adames went two-for-four with a double while Sal Frelick also collected a pair of hits.
Wade Miley earned the win after surrendering two runs on four hits over six innings.
The Brew Crew have won nine straight games and are first in the NL Central at 74-and-57. The series continues tonight. Pre-Game show at 6:30 on WSAU.
