WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — A Weston man suspected of stalking an ex and cutting the brake lines on her vehicle is in custody after nearly four months on the run.
Jeremy Jimmerson appeared in court on Monday to waive his right to a speedy trial for multiple counts including stalking and recklessly endangering safety. Investigators say he sent threatening messages to the woman following a break-up and also threatened to interfere with her child custody procedures.
A search of the woman’s phone also turned up text messages which implied that danger would be coming her way including one that said “Have a good weekend because it ain’t going to be pretty Monday.”

Jimmerson has denied cutting the brake lines, though video surveillance footage shows him committing the act in a Rib Mountain parking lot. A mechanic said the damage to the vehicle showed a clean cut to the lines and not something that would have happened due to corrosion or other natural causes.
Officers issued a warrant for his arrest in early April.
The 40-year-old also faces a count of being a felon in possession of a firearm and operating with a revoked license. Those charges come from three separate cases, which have been rolled into one.
