FOND du LAC, WI (WSAU) — An inmate at the Taycheedah Correctional Institute has been charged with homicide in connection with the death of Cindy Schulz-Juedes.
The Fond du Lac Police Department says Taylor Sanchez has been recommended for one charge of first-degree intentional homicide. She’s currently being held on the count, and a judge will decide if the case moves forward following the Labor Day holiday.
Schulz-Juedes had just begun her life sentence for killing her husband Ken Juedes in 2006. She has maintained her innocence and was reportedly preparing an appeal of the decision at the time of her death.

Police said she was found unresponsive in her cell on July 19th. Life-saving measures were unsuccessful, and she was immediately pronounced dead. Officers made it clear that the incident was being investigated as a homicide.
More information is expected early next week after Sanchez’s initial court appearance.
