MADISON, WI (WSAU) – The latest college football AP poll is out, and the Wisconsin Badgers are staying put after their week one victory.
Wisconsin will remain at 19th in the country this week after defeating Buffalo 38-17 on Saturday. The Badgers started the game slowly, scoring only 14 points in the first half before running backs Chez Mellusi and Braelon Allen took over, rushing for a combined 298 yards and four touchdowns.
Meanwhile, new starting quarterback Tanner Mordecai will look to make improvements this week after struggling in his Badgers debut, going 24/31 for 189 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions.
Other Big Ten teams to make the top 25 include Michigan at 2, Ohio State at 5, and Penn State at 7.
Some teams that moved up and down the rankings this week include Colorado, which entered the poll at 22nd after not being ranked last week; Clemson, which dropped 16 spots from 9th to 25th; LSU, which dropped 9 spots from 5th to 14th; and Florida State, which moved up 4 spots from 8th to 4th overall.
The Badgers will travel to Washington State on Saturday to face the Cougars on ABC at 6:30 p.m. CT.
