GREEN BAY, WI (WSAU-WAOW) – Packer fans gathered on Monday to help update a popular Green Bay landmark before week 1 of the NFL season.
The fans battled the heat and changed the sign on the well-known fence next to Lambeau Field. The message says, “The New Pack is a Love Affair.” With Jordan Love taking over as the team’s quarterback, it’s a wink to the franchise’s new era.
“It’s just something we put on our calendar every single Labor Day weekend. We know, Monday at 12 o’clock, we need to be painting the fence,” Debbie Zehms told Fox 11.
Mark Murphy, the Packers’ CEO and president, paid a visit to the fence on Monday and stated, “This is really pretty special. To me, it kind of highlights the special connection between our fans and the organization.”
