EAST RUTHERFORD NJ (WSAU) — The New York Jets are in jeopardy of losing their star quarterback.
Aaron Rodgers left Monday night’s win over the Buffalo Bills with an ankle injury and did not return. Rodgers was sacked by Bills’ linebacker Leonard Floyd on the fourth play of New York’s opening drive. The 39-year-old was carted into the locker room where X-rays came back negative.
After the game, head coach Robert Saleh said that the team is expecting an MRI to confirm a ruptured Achilles, which would bring Rodgers’ first season in New York to an end.
