MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) The Milwaukee Brewers struggled on offense in a 2-0 defeat to the Miami Marlins Wednesday night at American Family Field in Milwaukee.
Colin Rea was charged with the loss after giving up one run in four-plus innings of relief. Carlos Santana got two of Milwaukee’s seven hits while Andruw Monasterio tallied the team’s only extra base hit with a double.
Braxton Garrett went six scoreless innings giving up four hits with seven strikeouts for Miami.
The Cubs lost so the Brew Crew maintained their four game lead in the NL Central at 81-and-64. The Brewers will try to win the series this afternoon. Pre game show at 12:35 on WSAU.
