STEVENS POINT, WI (WSAU) — A Stevens Point man will serve 20 years in prison and 10 years of extended supervision for charges that he sexually assaulted a child who was under the age of 10.
Michael J. Jakubiak was handed the sentence earlier this month after pleading no contest to the felony count back in June.
The 63-year-old will be nearly 94 by the time he is eligible for release. Conditions of his extended supervision will include no contact with the victim or any other minors and the completion of all counseling or therapy. Additionally, he will need to register as a sex offender.
Jakubiak has previously served time in the state prison system for charges related to arson and burglary, stemming from a 2002 incident in Portage County.
