ST. LOUIS, MO (WSAU) The St. Louis Cardinals shut out the Brewers 1-0 in their series opener at Busch Stadium.
Adam Wainwright earned his 200th win after striking out three batters over seven innings. Willson Contreras provided all the offense in the game with a solo home run in the fourth inning.
Sal Frelick went two-for-four while Willy Adames cracked a double for Milwaukee, which fell to 84-and-66.
The Brew Crew are still first in the NL Central and will continue the four-game series tonight. Pre game show at 6:10 on WSAU.
