WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — There are still a couple of Wausau Events left in the 2023 season, but Executive Director Alissandra Aderholdt has already compiled the group’s 2024 schedule.
The year begins with Winter Brew Fest, a live music and beer sampling event, at the Jefferson Street Inn on January 26th. That will be followed by Winter Fest the very next day.
Concerts on the Square in the 400 Block will return on June 5th and will run each Wednesday through August 28th, for a total of 13 concerts.
Other favorites that return to the 2024 slate include Wings over Wausau, Big Bull Falls Blues Fest, and Beer and Bacon Fest. Additionally, the Wausau events group is taking over the city’s 4th of July celebration.

• Concerts on the Square: Every Wednesday from June 5 – August 28, 2024
• Wings Over Wausau: June 21-22, 2024 – Wausau Airport
• Run the Runway 5K: June 22, 2024 – Wausau Airport
• Chalkfest: June 22 & 23, 2024 – 400 Block
• 4th of July Fireworks: July 4, 2024 – Wausau Airport
• Big Bull Falls Blues Fest: August 16 & 17, 2024 – Fern Island
• Beer & Bacon Fest: September 14, 2024 – Fern Island
• Harvest Fest: October 5, 2024 – 400 Block
• Holiday Parade: December 6, 2024 – Marathon Park to the 400 Block
“We’re excited to bring back many of Wausau’s traditional events, while taking over the area’s 4th of July Celebration,” says Aderholdt. “We have a full schedule of events for 2024 and look forward to a great year!”
Details about each event, including musical acts for the Concerts on the Square and a list of food vendors, will be announced as those details are finalized.
Events still to come on the 2023 schedule include Harvest Fest (October 7th) and the Holiday Parade from Marathon Park to the 400 Block (December 1st).
