MADISON, WI (WSAU) – The Wisconsin Badgers men’s basketball team received their 2023–2024 conference schedule on Tuesday.
The Badgers will tip off conference play on the road against the Michigan State Spartans on December 5th and will play their first conference game at the Kohl Center on January 2nd against the Iowa Hawkeyes.
Other notable conference matchups include Nebraska coming to Madison on January 6th and the Badgers traveling to Columbus to take on Ohio State on January 10th. Northwestern will also play Wisconsin in Madison on January 13th, and the Badgers will go to Penn State to face off against the Nitty Lions on January 16th.
Before facing Arkansas State on Nov. 6 at the Kohl Center, the Badgers will hold an exhibition game on Nov. 1 against UW-Stevens Point. 13 teams that made the NCAA tournament in 2022 are on Wisconsin’s schedule, and nine of them will play a game at the Kohl Center.
The regular season schedule for Wisconsin includes 17 home games, including 10 Big Ten conference contests. The non-conference schedule is highlighted by home games versus Tennessee (Nov. 10) and Marquette (Dec. 2), as well as away games at Arizona (Dec. 9) and Virginia (Nov. 20) at the Fort Myers Tip-Off.
The Badgers are coming off an up-and-down off-season after landing St. Johns guard A.J. Storr and star forward Tyler Wahl, who announced that he was returning to the team. The team also lost guard Jordan Davis, who committed to Illinois State, and Wyoming transfer Noah Reynolds, who had committed to Wisconsin back in April and then decommitted a short time later.
