MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) — Major League Baseball is handing down its first performance enhancing drug suspension of the season.
The league announced yesterday that Milwaukee Brewers reliever JC Mejia will be suspended 162 games after testing positive for PED’s. This isn’t the first time Mejia has missed time due to performance enhancers. The righty was suspended 80 games back in 2022 following a positive test for the same drug.
The 27-year-old is 1-and-0 this season with a 5.56 ERA in just over 11 innings pitched.
