WAUSAU, Wis. (WAOW-WSAU) — Some feline friends made their way to Wausau this weekend for Central Wisconsin’s Cat Show. The cat show has been finding success for over 30 years.
The annual show is held at the Faith Christian Academy School gym in Wausau this weekend. Cat breeders from all over the Midwest were given the invitation to show off their cats while meeting friendly new faces.
“It’s a learning experience to get to see the different breeds of cats that you typically don’t get to see,” said Wendy Meyer, the director of the North Central region in the American Cat Fancier Association.
“People are just friendly here, and this is our social life sometimes. I love it,” Meyer said.
Nearly 50 cat breeders are participating in the show and 30 breeds of cats are being shown and judged.
The show continues Sunday until 4 P.M.
