ROTHSCHILD, WI (WSAU) — The Wisconsin Department of Transportation has scheduled a ramp closure for Tuesday at the Interstate 39/Business 51 interchange near Wausau.
According to a release from the DOT the work will begin at 6 AM and is scheduled to be completed by 4 PM. During that time all ramps will be closed, with posted detours as follows:
- I-39 northbound on ramp from BUS 51 will be detoured to BUS 51 to Maple Ridge Road eastbound to I-39 northbound.
- I-39 southbound off ramp to BUS 51 will be detoured I-39 southbound to Maple Ridge Road westbound to BUS 51.
Crews will be performing overlay repairs to the bridge during this time. Drivers are encouraged to use caution and slow down in the work zone. Additionally, the DOT reminds drivers that it is against state law to use a handheld device while driving through a work zone.
