State Representative Katrina Shankland is expected to make an announcement regarding “Wisconsin’s 3rd Congressional district.”
She’s expected to gather with supporters at 10 AM outside the Stevens Point Brewery for the announcement. No further information was provided.
WSAU News will be there at the event.
Later Wausau’s Economic Development Committee will meet for what’s scheduled to be a brief agenda featuring updates on the North Riverfront development plans and the proposed Westside Battery Development.
According to the agenda packet, the city is looking to create “lower intensity residential” developments in the area along with some commercial development. The goals also include expanded access to the riverfront and reduced traffic impacts.
No information on the update for the Westside Battery development was included in Tuesday’s agenda.
That meeting begins at 5:15 at City Hall.
