GREEN BAY, WI (WSAU) – Elgton Jenkins, a left guard for the Green Bay Packers, practiced on Tuesday without experiencing any problems, and he is working toward playing against the Las Vegas Raiders on Monday night.
“We’ll have to go through the week, see how the practice goes, and see how the knee feels at that time,” Jenkins said Tuesday. “We have to go through the week.”
Jenkins is recovering from an MCL injury and was wearing a brace to support the knee during Tuesday’s practice.
According to Packers Wire, over the past two weeks, Royce Newman has been the Packers’ starting left guard. Throughout the two games, Newman gave up nine pressures, including a sack. Jenkins, who returned to left guard last season, allowed just five pressures in nine games and only one pressure in his first two games this season.
