NEKOOSA, WI (WSAU) — Three people were arrested in Nekoosa last week after officers executed a drug-related search warrant.
They’ve been identified as 36-year-old Spencer Lewis, 48-year-old Stephanie Braaksma, and 43-year-old Jesse Ewan. Each is facing charges related to the possession and/or distribution of fentanyl, methamphetamine, psilocybin, and THC. Other charges include possession of drug paraphernalia and maintaining a drug trafficking place.
Officers note that charges related to other drugs may also be filed, as labs are still testing the items that were found in the home.
Police Chief Shawn Woods says the incident marks “the largest quantity of Fentanyl ever seized in Nekoosa and is believed to be the largest illicit drug dealing case in the history of the Nekoosa Police Department.”
Woods also notes that the drugs were being stored less than a quarter of a mile from a school and community center.
Court action against the trio is pending. They are currently being held in the Wood County Jail.
