BROOKLYN, NY (WSAU) The Las Vegas Aces are the first back-to-back WNBA champions since 2001-02.
Las Vegas edged the New York Liberty 70-69 in Game Four of the WNBA Finals at the Barclays Center.
A’ja Wilson led the charge with 24 points and 16 rebounds and was named the WNBA Finals MVP. Jackie Young added 16 points for the Aces, who took down the Connecticut Sun in the Finals last year.
Courtney Vandersloot paced New York with 19 points in the losing effort. Breanna Stewart scored 10 points but shot just 3-of-17 from the field in the setback.
