Wisconsin (7-0-0, 3-0-0 WCHA) and Bemidji State will clash again at 2 PM on Saturday.
Meanwhile, the Badger men made their first trip to Michigan Tech in over ten years on Friday and rolled the Huskies 4-2 thanks to a pair of third-period goals.
William Whitelaw and David Silye each scored in the second to help level the score at two going into the third. Daniel Laatsch broke that deadlock midway through the final frame, and Cruz Lucius added an empty-net goal to seal the win.
Kyle McClellan made 27 saves including 12 in the third period to get the win in net.
Michigan Tech sits at #17 in the latest USCHO Top 20 rankings and falls to 0-2-2 with the loss. Wisconsin, who was just outside of the Top 20 this week, improved to 4-1. The same two teams will skate this evening to close out the non-conference series.
