MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) — Giannis Antetokounmpo led the Bucks with 26 points in a 124-116 win over a shorthanded Memphis Grizzlies squad on Friday.
Milwaukee ran out what will likely be their regular starting five in the game. Alongside Giannis were Damien Lillard, Khris Middleton, Brook Lopez, and Malik Beasley.
Lillard scored 19 points and grabbed four rebounds. Middleton added 11 and five assists.
MarJon Beauchamp led the bench-scoring effort with 18 points and two assists.
Giannis grabbed seven rebounds and dished four assists. Thanasis Antetokounmpo scored six points off the bench.
Ja Morant, Steven Adams, and Derek Rose all sat out for Memphis. Desmond Bane scored 24 points in the loss.
It was the final preseason game for the Bucks. Milwaukee went 3-2 in the exhibition season including an even 1-1 against Memphis. The regular season will begin on Thursday against Philadelphia at Fiserv Forum. Tip time is 6:30, with pregame coverage starting at 6 PM on WRIG 93.9 The Game.
