ANTIGO, WI (WSAU-WAOW) -103 years is a long time. Frances Howe of Antigo can’t believe it had gone by so fast.
Howe is someone who brightens up any room she walks in with a smile.”I like to smile, why not,” said Howe.
Her niece Christine Guetzke has many lifelong impactful memories of Fran. Parades, grocery store runs, and a ton of other fun activities just to mention a few.
The people at Evergreen Terrace take care of and spend time with Fran 24/7.
Between the smile, kindness, and long life, they have never met anyone quite like Fran.
“She is one of the kindest, happiest people I’ve ever met. I think that maybe is her key to a long and happy life never complains, kind to everyone, finds joy in the smallest things,” said Sarah Voytovich Owner of Evergreen Terrace.
Although Fran wouldn’t share the secret to living to 103, it’s possible it has to do with finding joy in yourself and the others around you. Fran was surrounded by friends and family on this special day and is looking forward to year 104.
