MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) — The Milwaukee Bucks have locked down their star player for the immediate future.
ESPN reports Giannis Antetokounmpo agreed to a three-year, 186-million-dollar contract extension yesterday to stay in Milwaukee. The deal includes a player option for the 2027-28 season.
The two-time league MVP had three years left on his last contract, but could have opted out of the deal after next season.
Giannis was hesitant to sign an extension with the team this offseason, so the front office responded by trading for seven-time All-Star guard Damian Lillard from the Trail Blazers.
