MINOCQUA, WI (WSAU-WXPR) – The Minocqua Brewing Company received the go-ahead from Oneida County to build an outdoor beer garden.
For years the brewery and county have been in a tug-of-war over the permit. On October 6, though, the Oneida Planning and Development Committee finally granted Minocqua Brewing Company permission to build an outdoor beer garden. The brewery will also add an ADA-compliant and four regular parking spaces, as well as a new stormwater management plan
Minocqua Brewing Company owner Kirk Bangstad claimed he was treated unfairly for his liberal political views in a conservative-dominated area.
In August, Oneida County revoked Minocqua Brewing Company’s administrative review permit for violations like allowing people to drink outside.
