TOWN OF JUMP RIVER, WI (WSAU) — An 81-year-old man is dead after a single-vehicle crash in Taylor County.
Sheriff’s officials say Allen C. Eldred was driving west on County Road D near Hamilton Drive when his vehicle crossed the center line and went airborne into a wooded portion of the intersection.
Eldred was thrown from the vehicle during the crash and was found unresponsive. Investigators say it does not appear that he was wearing a seatbelt.
The vehicle came to rest right-side up with extensive damage.
The crash happened at about 10:30 AM Wednesday. No further information has been released.
