WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — First responders in Wausau were called to a single-vehicle crash Wednesday night in the Town of Texas.
It happened near the intersection of County Road W and Alamo Road at around 8:50 PM. One person died at the scene, and two others were taken to a nearby hospital with significant injuries.
One person suffered minor injuries.
The Marathon County Sheriff’s Office is continuing to investigate the crash, and no further details have been released. That includes whether alcohol or speed were factors and if the vehicle rolled. Names of those involved have not been released.
County Road W was closed for about 4.5 hours while the crash reconstruction team investigated.
