GREEN BAY, WI (WSAU) – On Monday morning, Green Bay Packers edge rusher Rashan Gary revealed that he had signed a four-year, $107 million contract deal with the Packers.
Gary shared a photo of himself signing the new contract on social media. A nearly $35 million signing bonus is part of Gary’s new contract, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
He was in the final year of his rookie contract in 2023, having been selected with the 12th overall choice in the 2019 draft. Gary’s contract with Green Bay will now last until the 2027 season.
Gary returned to begin the 2023 season and once again established himself as a powerful player, following an ACL tear that kept him out of the final eight games of last season. This season, through seven games, he has only played forty percent of the defensive snaps overall, but he has eight quarterback hits, five tackles for loss, and 4.5 sacks.
Gary recorded 26 total pressures going into Week 8, and according to PFF, he had the top pass-rush win percentage in the NFL at 29.6%.
The $96 million in fresh funding equals about $24 million annually. Gary will now be paid slightly less than the highest-paid edge rushers annually, Nick Bosa ($34 million), T.J. Watt ($28 million), and Joey Bosa ($27 million).
