TOMAHAWK, WI (WSAU) — A Tomahawk man hitchhiking along US Highway 8 was struck by a vehicle on Saturday.
The man was walking near the intersection with Honey Road. First responders noted that his injuries were consistent with a vehicle strike.
The nature of his injuries was not disclosed.
Officers said the unidentified male was wearing all black clothing and was walking along the fog line at the time of the incident.
The driver of the vehicle has been identified as a 51-year-old Tomahawk man. His name has not been released, and it’s unclear if he will face charges.
