MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) — The Milwaukee Brewers have retained one of their starting pitchers for next season.
The team announced yesterday that Colin Rea has agreed to a one-year, 4.5-million-dollar deal to stay in Milwaukee. The starter went 6-and-6 last season with a 4.55 ERA over 26 games. The 33-year-old set career-highs in wins, appearances, innings at nearly 125 and strikeouts with 110.
The Brewers also claimed infielder Vinny Capra off waivers from the Pirates and declined team options on Andrew Chafin and Justin Wilson.
