GREEN BAY, WI (WSAU) – The Green Bay Packers defense will not know who they are facing at quarterback on Sunday until game time.
According to Packers Wire, starter Matthew Stafford did not practice all week, but Rams coach Sean McVay stated that Stafford will be given up to game time on Sunday to show he can play against the Packers and will be marked as questionable on the final injury report. Rob Havenstein, starting right tackle, is also listed as questionable for Sunday.
Stafford has an injury to his right thumb and did not practice this week. Brett Rypien is currently listed as the Rams backup quarterback.
Under Stafford, the Rams have a 3-5 record this year. Stafford is 0-1 versus the Packers since joining the Rams.
For the Packers, safety Rudy Ford was added to the report with a new calf injury. All 52 players took part in some capacity at Packers practice on Thursday, despite the absence of six Packers players due to injuries. Limited players included Ford, tight end Luke Musgrave, offensive tackle Yosh Nijman, left guard Elgton Jenkins, running back Aaron Jones, and cornerback Jaire Alexander.
