Wausau, WI (WSAU)- With a huge chunk of their offensive players out the Wisconsin Badgers came up short to the Indiana Hoosiers, losing 20-14. This puts the Badgers record at 5-4.
Wisconsin struggled to find their momentum within the first half. With one lone touchdown, ran-in eight yards by Brandan Sorsby, Indiana led the game. By the time the first half was complete, the Hoosiers were up 17-7.
The second half proved to be better for the Badgers. The opening drive of the third quarter ended with an 18-yard touchdown catch from Braedyn Lock, closing the gap to a 3-point game. Wisconsin had lost their opportunity to take the lead after a sack and a penalty, which mandated a punt.
The Badgers fumbled the ball on a drive and were forced to punt the ball away and have possessions end on turnovers on downs. Indiana scored a late field goal, ending the game with a final score of 20-14.
Wisconsin needs one more win to become bowl contenders, and hope to achieve that next week as they return home to face Northwestern.
