Another piece of the 2024 Wausau property tax bill will be up for discussion on Tuesday.
The City Council will hold a public hearing regarding the spending plan as part of their regular meeting at 6:30 at City Hall. According to a copy of the proposed budget included in the agenda packet for Tuesday’s meeting, residents can expect a $0.26 hike in their property tax rate- from $10.60 to $10.86 per $1,000 of assessed value.
That works out to about $52 on a $200,000 home.
The hearing will be held at the start of the business portion of the agenda, immediately following the consent agenda.
