WAUPACA, WI (WSAU-WAOW) – After reports of a potential threat, the Waupaca Police Department conducted backpack searches at Waupaca High School on Friday morning.
The potential threat to Waupaca High School was reported to authorities at 5:30 a.m., according to a news release from the Waupaca Police Department.
Following the investigation, the police determined that the possible threat was not credible. The Waupaca School District stated that classes are still being held and as a precaution officers are stationed at Waupaca High School and other schools throughout the day.
