GREEN BAY, WI (WSAU) – As the Green Bay Packers continue to struggle to find wins this season, quarterback Jordan Love is showing signs that he may indeed be the guy to lead the franchise for years to come.
According to Pro Football Focus, Love has an 84.3 grade over the past two weeks, which ranks 6th in the NFL out of 34 eligible quarterbacks. A big reason for that grade was due to his second-half performance against the LA Rams, where he went 12/13 for 160 yards and one touchdown.
Love is also showing signs of improvement when throwing the ball downfield after he threw a career-high five “big-time throws” against Pittsburgh, where he completed five throws for more than 30 yards and seven for 20 yards or more, and three of the 30-yard throws came on third down.
A “big-time throw” is defined by PFF as any throw that is at “the highest end of both difficulty and value.” Love currently has 14, tied for 13th most among quarterbacks this season with Lamar Jackson and Patrick Mahomes.

“I thought he was playing with a lot of confidence,” said coach Matt LaFleur on Monday. “I thought he was decisive. Made some big-time throws down the field.”
Love earned a 77.8 from Pro Football Focus grade against the Steelers after completing 5-of-8 passes over 20 yards and finishing with only one “turnover-worthy play.”
