WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — A Wausau man who was the subject of a nationwide arrest warrant is now in jail and formally facing charges.
Toua Yang was arrested this week after police released a be on the lookout for him earlier this fall. Officers seized more than four pounds of pot and one pound of meth from his home on S 3rd Avenue in Wausau, but he was not home at the time of the raid.
A national warrant was issued for his arrest a few weeks after the raid.
Yang is now facing face six charges including possession of methamphetamine and THC with the intent to distribute and maintaining a drug trafficking place. He also faces two counts of being a felon in possession of a firearm.
Officers describe Yang, known to some as Nitrous, as a known drug trafficker in the Wausau area.
During a court appearance on Thursday Judge Scott Corbett set Yang’s bond at $25,000 cash with conditions including absolute sobriety from drugs and alcohol. If he were to post bond he would also be banned from possessing dangerous weapons.
Future court dates have been set for November 22nd, November 27th, and January 23rd.
