CHARLOTTE, NC (WSAU) — Seven players scored at least 11 points as the Milwaukee Bucks scored a 130-99 win over the Charlotte Hornets in the 2023 In-Season Tournament.
Damian Lillard led the way with 27 points, five rebounds, and five assists. Malik Beasley added 21 points.
Giannis Antetokounmpo was held to 16 points but he did manage nine assists and eight rebounds.
Milwaukee shot 55% from the field including 49% from three-point range.
Charlotte was paced by LaMello Ball who scored a game-high 37 points.
Milwaukee is now 8-4 on the season and 2-0 in East Group B play, leapfrogging Miami for the group lead based on tiebreakers. The six group winners and two best second-place finishes will advance to the knockout stage in Las Vegas.
The next regular-season action for the Bucks is later today when they host Dallas. As for the In-Season Tournament, Milwaukee hosts Washington Bucks next Friday, November 24th.
