GREEN BAY, WI (WSAU) – Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that Green Bay Packers running back Aaron Jones injured his MCL during the team’s victory over the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday and is not expected to play against the Detroit Lions on Thursday.
The Packers Wire did report that although Jones isn’t anticipated to play against the Lions, coach Matt LaFleur stated that it isn’t thought to be necessary for him to go on injured reserve and miss four games.
Tight end Luke Musgrave was taken to the hospital after suffering a “significant” abdomen injury against the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday.
Musgrave played through the injury on Sunday, according to coach Matt LaFleur, and praised Musgrave for his toughness saying, “He’s got a pretty significant injury. I think it speaks to his toughness. He didn’t say anything all game but then something came up and he called Flea (head athletic trainer Bryan Engel). He’s been in the hospital. It’s been pretty significant. This kid is as tough as they come.”
According to LaFleur, it’s uncertain if Musgrave will have to miss four games to go on injured reserve. Musgrave will not be available against the Detroit Lions on Thursday, having been unable to practice on Monday and Tuesday.
Other notable players who did not practice on Tuesday included rookie wide receiver Dontayvion Wicks, running back Emanual Wilson, linebacker De’Vondre Campbell, and tight end Josiah Deguara.
