TOWN OF BRADLEY, WI (WSAU-WAOW) – One person is dead after a crash in the Township of Bradley.
The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release that around 1:30pm on Wednesday, a 911 call came in reporting a two-vehicle head-on crash at the intersection of U.S. Highway 8 and Rapel Road.
The Sheriff’s Office said preliminary investigation and witness statements suggested a pickup truck being driven by a 78-year-old man had been eastbound on U.S. Highway 8 when it crossed the centerline and struck a westbound utility work truck.
The utility truck flipped over into the ditch.
There were minor injuries reported by the occupants of the utility truck.
The 78-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The highway was closed for about five and a half hours.
