TOWN OF BRADLEY, WI (WSAU) — One driver is dead after their vehicle left the road, overturned, and submerged in Skanawan Creek in Lincoln County.
It happened along County Highway S near the intersection with Crass Road. Investigators say the unidentified driver was likely heading north on S when they drifted off the roadway and rolled into the Creek.
A passerby reported the crash on Sunday at about 7:30 PM. They told first responders that the driver was still in the vehicle, but when the first deputy arrived at the scene they couldn’t locate them.
The driver’s body was located a few minutes later. It’s unclear how long they had been in the water.
The crash is still being investigated, and officers will release the driver’s name after family members have been notified.
