WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — The Christmas and Holiday Parade season continues Friday with Wausau’s Holiday Parade from Marathon Park to the 400 Block.
The parade will follow the traditional route, taking the floats down Stewart Avenue into Downtown. They’ll go past the Library and Jefferson Street Inn and end at the 400 Block.
Following the parade, there will be a tree-lighting ceremony with Mayor Katie Rosenberg.
Parade entries will line up in Marathon Park at 5 PM.
Those who travel into downtown Wausau should note that eastbound Stewart Avenue will be closed starting Friday afternoon.
Families are encouraged to watch the parade from anywhere along the route. A warming house will be set up in Washington Square at 5:00 PM. Further information on the parade can be found here.
