MADISON, WI (WSAU) – Not long after the Badgers secured a commitment from one of their top transfer portal targets in Leon Lowery, one of their top receivers announced that he’ll be leaving Madison as a graduate transfer.
Wide receiver Chimere Dike announced in an X post on Monday morning he thanked everyone from the University and the city for all the memories.
Thank You, Wisconsin❤️ I will be entering the transfer portal as a graduate transfer for my final year of eligibility. pic.twitter.com/Y4NnjJG6Jh

After having a strong season in 2022 that included 47 catches for 689 yards and six touchdowns, including 10 passes for 185 yards and three touchdowns against Northwestern, Dike saw a drop off in 2023 which he registered just 19 catches for 328 yards and just one touchdown.
Meanwhile, fellow wide receiver Skyler Bell also announced on Monday morning that he is entering the transfer portal following a down year that included just 38 catches for 297 yards and a touchdown in 2023. Bell was demoted to the second-string offense in favor of Will Pauling after leading the team with seven drops on the year.
The Badgers signed four transfers earlier this year: C.J. Williams, Bryson Green, Quincy Burroughs, and Will Pauling, and more are expected to commit to the Badgers in the coming weeks, which is why the university and program insiders are not surprised by these decisions.
