MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) – The Brewers are closing in on re-signing veteran pitcher Wade Miley.
The two parties were reportedly “moving closer” to an agreement on Sunday night, according to Jon Heyman of the New York Post, but Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic was the first to report that a deal was imminent.
While the numbers are not available yet, it’s noteworthy that Miley turned down a $10 million mutual option with Milwaukee earlier in the offseason in favor of a $1 million buyout, leading to speculation that this new deal will be above the $10 million mark.
